Covid-19 Guidelines:

While doing what we love, we have to ensure the safety of our teachers and participants. We have social distancing protocols in place to help keep us healthy and happy during our classes.

- Participants are required to BYOM (bring your own mat)

- Mats will be placed 6 feet apart from each other

- There will be no props provided, we encourage you to bring your own

- Masks are optional

In addition to these protocols we encourage you to complete a quick self-assessment test online before coming to class.

FAQ’s

How early do I arrive to class?

Show up 10-15 mins before every class to allow yourself time to settle into the environment and on your mat. Place your phone on silent to allow a distraction free zone while practicing.

Where can I find the liability waiver?

Our waiver is available here and must be completed before attending your first class or program with us. Please note: this waiver only needs to be filled out once for each person.

What do I bring to class?

Your beautiful authentic self. As well as a yoga mat, a reusable water bottle, small towel and any props you like to use (i.e blocks or straps). Unfortunately due to covid-19 protocols in place we will not be able to provide you with any mats or props at this time.

What should I wear?

We encourage you to wear breathable clothing that makes you feel comfortable and easy to move in. For example, t-shirt, shorts, tank top and leggings are all great options.

What if I have an injury or I am pregnant?

It is important that you communicate this to your teacher before the start of your class as well as listing this on our electronic waiver. Knowing this information helps us to provide you with a more comfortable and enjoyable experience.

What if I’m running late?

We understand sometimes getting to class can be challenging. We celebrate nonetheless, even if you walk in late, because you made it. You showed up for yourself and that’s all that matters! We kindly ask you to tiptoe into class to ensure a quiet and relaxing environment, free from distractions for the rest of our participants.

Can I leave early during class?

We would love for you to stay, but if for any reason you need to leave early during a class, kindly inform your teacher ahead of time.

Do I need to sign up and pay in advance? Can you reserve my spot?

Yes, all programs need to be registered in advance through our website. This applies to drop-ins as well. Unfortunately, we cannot reserve your spot until you have purchased a class. Click here to book a class.

I’m not able to make it to a class. Can I get a refund?

Kindly read our Refund and Cancellation Policy below. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact us.

I am not flexible. Will I be able to attend these classes?

Yes absolutely! Flexibility comes over time and with practice. We encourage you to take each class at your own pace and listen to your body’s signals to prevent injury. There will be modifications offered for poses throughout the class to ensure you have options.

Is yoga a religion?

Yoga is a mindset. It is a place for all. Even though traditionally it is rooted in spiritual philosophy, it is practiced by many individuals of widely differing beliefs. If you believe in self improvement, transformation, learning and cultivating a positive attitude, you believe in yoga. Yoga teaches us to seek our highest potential as human beings. At Lumos, we practice a style of yoga that is welcoming of all participants.

Refund & Cancellation Policy

We want you to be happy with your experience. In the event that classes or workshops are cancelled by Lumos Yoga and Movement, a make up session will be offered at a later date or a full refund will be processed.

Due to the nature of our services, however, we're unable to make a refund or offer make up sessions for any cancellations you make. This is especially true for events where we've invested considerable time and effort in your program (i.e. developing the program, setting up the event, coordinating times and venues). In the event that you must withdraw for any reason, you will remain duly responsible for all payments at the full cost of the class. The same is followed for online classes.

However, not all is lost! We do have a Pay It Forward Program where you can give your spot in the class or workshop to another family member or friend in the event that you may miss a class. Please note, this exception is only viable when confirmed in writing with Lumos Yoga. The new participant must have all necessary waivers signed in order to participate. Kindly email us for further details.
